Monnie’s School Lunch Tour kicked off last October at Myrtle Beach Elementary and is still going strong! I visit a local school once a month and enjoy lunch with the kids, a chat with the principal and a tour, where I take a lot of pictures. I love featuring our schools on the Easy airwaves and on our Facebook page.
Our state is blessed with great teachers, schools and students — and too often they don’t receive the praise they deserve. My goal is to shine a light on our wonderful schools and give back to them for a change.
I’ve also visited Socastee Elementary, Myrtle Beach Middle (the old one and the new one!) and St. Andrew Catholic School.
