I made a special trip to Charleston this weekend to see my dear friend Nancy. I met her when I lived in Raleigh. She recently moved to the Low Country and started her own business – Blue Moon Estate Sales. I’m incredibly proud of her! At 60, she totally redesigned her life!!! I’m
in awe. While there on Sunday, I introduced her to my good friends and fellow Winthrop Eagles, Kelly and Loren, who have lived there for many years. We met for lunch at Rutledge Cab Company, a former convenience store/gas station transformed into one of Charleston’s favorite neighborhood restaurants. Charleston is one of my favorite cities and holds precious family memories.
I hated to leave so early, but after lunch I headed back to Myrtle. I like to be in bed by 8pm
on Sundays, so I’ll feel well-rested for the Monnie in the Morning Show 🙂
On the way back home I made a stop in Georgetown – wow, what a sweet
town! I loved strolling along the Harborwalk and meandering down Front Street for
some window shopping. I treated myself to ice cream at the Old Georgetown Creamery
and then headed to MB.
Although it was a damp and dreary day along the coast, I felt such joy
spending time with good friends, experiencing something different and
seeing new sights in our beautiful state.
Day Trippin’ is good for the soul!!!!
