This beautiful cupcake was given to me this weekend by a friend in celebration of my 53rd birthday – it was delicious!! It symbolizes the sweet friendships I’ve made since I moved to the Grand Strand. Sadly, I was not able to make it to my hometown this time around to see family and close friends, but my birthday was still full of fun, friends and food!
I kicked off my birthday weekend early on Thursday night at Boardwalk Billys in NMB with my name twin Monnie…we always have a great time and she’s like a big sister…then, on Friday, my dear friend Pam from Wilmington came for a visit and we ate at Damon’s on South Ocean Boulevard. It’s true what they say about a free birthday dinner! I had filet mignon and ribs – it was free AND fantastic!
My new friends, Mark and Sharon, celebrated with me Saturday night at the House of Blues, where the food was amazing! It was quite a memorable evening, full of laughter and nostalgia. They are a delight! We’ll be going back soon for a concert!
I spent the day Sunday in Murrells Inlet with my precious friend Teresa – she was the first friend I made after I moved to Myrtle Beach and it turns out she grew up in Upstate, SC just like I did. We ate a yummy lunch at Creek Ratz…great food and a fabulous view!
I also received tons of love on Facebook and several of you phoned in on Friday to wish me a wonderful birthday! The biggest surprise came at the end of my show when my Easy Radio family stormed in, while I was live on the air, singing Happy Birthday and lavishing me with doughnuts and adorable birthday cards.
Thank you all for making me feel so special and loved! I love you right back!!!
